To protest the NFL’s callous indifference towards the high levels of domestic violence perpetrated by its players, I created and tweeted this image using the CoverGirl NFL campaign.

It went viral (even showing up on the floor of the House of Representatives) and became a symbol that helped bring the NFL’s issues with domestic violence to the fore at a time when it was all but being ignored.
